The product is gold plated (vermeil) and can experience scratches or gold plate peel from normal wear and tear, and is not considered faulty. This is to be expected and part of the product's charm.
Avoid contact with any liquid, humidity, heat, and overexposure to the sun. Store in an airtight bag to prevent tarnish/discoloration. Wipe with a dry cloth if needed. Do not use a silver polishing liquid or cloth on gold vermeil jewelry.
